What will be the online reputations of fast food chains in Italy?
The “junk food” theme is always much discussed. As we know, by "junk food" we mean a series of foods, typically industrial, characterized mainly by high caloric intake and reduced nutritional value.
The sides in this regard are divided between those who prefer healthy eating and those who, on the other hand, do not give up on a nice sandwich filled with sauces accompanied by fries.

What are the most loved fast food by Italians? And which are the most talked about?
Opinion mining and sentiment analysis firm T-Voice did a research to find out.
It analyzed opinions and feelings expressed on the web and on social networks through its artificial intelligence algorithms, conducting an analysis on a sample of more than 60 thousand texts in Italian relating to the theme of fast food, in the period from 1 January 2020 to February 15, 2021.
The web opinion index, or, in jargon, the buzz, was calculated on a scale from 0 to 100.
The data that is examined does not concern the competition between brands, but the percentage of positive opinions present on the web for each chain taken into consideration.
The ranking
In first place, with a better online reputation, we find Domino's Pizza, with a score of 61.4, followed by Pizza Hut (60). An unsettling fact for everyone that in the country of pizza par excellence, the fast food restaurants of which one has a more positive opinion are those in which this specialty is the protagonist, albeit with a different interpretation?
Perhaps this indicates to us that we are becoming less critical and patriotic towards the reinterpretations of our traditional dishes.
The third place in the ranking is occupied by KFC (55.2), a reality present on the national territory for many fewer years than the fast food giants dedicated to burgers. Fried chicken, perhaps thanks to the US TV series, has conquered us in a short time and online we talk about it all in all well.
Speaking of burgers: Italy is fascinated by a well-made burger. In fact, in fourth place, for online opinions, ranks Burgez (53.2), ahead of Burger King (52.9) and even McDonald's (49.2).
In seventh and eighth place pizza returns, but this time with an Italian chain: Alice Pizza with its Roman-style pizzas in a pan (40.8), while Spontini (26.4) gets a position for the excellent and much talked about pizza to the Milanese slice.
Americahni closed the ranking again, with Starbucks coffee and sweets (19.7), followed by colossal Subway sandwiches (16.8).
Data based on Hashtags
Despite the overwhelming victory of Domino's, McDonald's, followed almost closely by Starbucks, Burger King, and then KFC and Subway, when it comes to hashtag searches.
